The service

My Story is a text journal with chronological PDF and offline HTML flipbook exports. It does not invent or rewrite your experiences. A story volume is intended to span 6–12 months; you may export your own records earlier. Each entry supports 5,000 characters and a volume supports up to 800 dated entries. One entry per date may be edited. Text only; no photo, video or document uploads. No printed book, therapeutic service or professional editorial service is included.

Prices and access

Preview: the browser demo is free, and a new cloud journal receives a 7-day writing trial without a payment card. Paid plans open only when checkout is connected. Planned prepaid prices are USD $18 for 6 months or $32.40 for 12 months; the annual price is 10% below two 6-month purchases ($36). No setup fee or automatic renewal. A first six-month purchase may be extended by six months to complete the first year. After the first 12 months, extensions are annual. Payment and the exact term must be confirmed before access is extended. Your payment provider may apply conversion charges.

When writing access ends, you can sign in to export or delete existing entries. Previously downloaded books remain yours. Contact us for a payment, refund, error or withdrawal request; mandatory consumer rights in your country remain unaffected. No blanket waiver of withdrawal or refund rights is required here.

What is stored

The local demo stays in your browser's local storage. Clearing browser data removes it. Cloud accounts store a random Book ID, a password hash, access dates, encrypted journal content, version history counters and payment references. Passwords are not stored as plain text. Journal text is encrypted at rest on our server in South Korea and protected by HTTPS during transfer. This is not end-to-end encryption: the service has the key needed to return your journal when you sign in. Account metadata and payment references are not encrypted in the same field.

Entries are not used for AI training, published to the web, shared with other users or sent to advertising services. Generating the book takes place in your browser. Third-party libraries and fonts are served from our site, with no remote font request containing your journal. PayPal receives the payment information you provide during checkout, your plan and a random purchase reference; it does not receive diary text.

Control and retention

Keep your Book ID and password in a password manager. There is no email-based account recovery in this release. We do not collect an email address just to open a journal. You can download PDF, offline HTML and plain text, edit or delete entries, and delete the cloud account from My journal. Cloud records remain available until you delete them. Daily encrypted backups are retained for 14 days; deleted records may remain in those restricted backups until expiry. Payment records may need to be kept separately where legally required. Limited security logs and hashed network identifiers are used to limit abuse; no diary text is included in these logs. Contact us about access, correction, deletion or a privacy concern.

Adults and private content

This preview is for adults aged 18 or older. Avoid recording passwords, bank credentials, identity numbers or confidential information about others. Downloaded PDFs and HTML books contain your words and are not password-protected; store and share them carefully. An offline HTML file needs a browser that supports opening local HTML; some mobile preview apps require “Open in browser.” PDF reading is available separately.
